Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an 8-hour course over two days, 9:00am - 1:00pm, and you must attend both days. MHFA gives people the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. It builds mental health literacy, helping the public identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness. This adult MHFA course is for anyone who wants to learn how to help a person who may be experiencing a mental health related crisis or problem. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.
